MIU to Launch Women’s Soccer Program for Fall 2026 Season

Fairfield, Iowa — Maharishi International University Athletics is proud to announce the addition of a Women's Soccer program, set to kick off its inaugural season in Fall 2026. The new program represents an exciting step forward in MIU's commitment to expanding athletic opportunities and fostering balanced excellence in both academics and sports.

The MIU Women's Soccer team will join the existing lineup of athletic programs under the Pioneers banner, offering female student-athletes the opportunity to compete at a collegiate level while developing leadership, teamwork, and mindfulness on and off the field.

"We're thrilled to introduce Women's Soccer to the MIU community," said Ruben Sanchez. "This program reflects our vision of growth and inclusivity in athletics, and we can't wait to see our first team take the field next fall."

Recruitment for the inaugural roster will begin in early 2026, with plans to host ID camps and interest meetings for prospective student-athletes. The university will also be seeking a Head Coach to lead the program's development, training, and competitive strategy.
